Diamond Core drilling
Diamond Core drilling is used when precise, circular cuts are required. Holes from 6 mm to 1500 mm diameter can be drilled to form openings usually for plumbing, electrical or mechanical engineering applications.
Core drilling can be carried out through virtually any thickness of wall or floor.
This system is dust free and has a relatively low noise output.

02.
Track Sawing
Track Sawing utilises a diamond blade on a track mounted machine.
The track is attached to vertical walls, steep inclines or floors that will not permit the use of a diamond floor saw, possibly through the lack of access.
Track or Wall sawing is typically specified to cut door, vent and window openings. The accuracy of this system makes it ideal for forming precise openings to tight tolerances.
Wall saws can be used remotely by the operator and are capable of cutting upside down to a depth of 1 metre.

03.
Wire Sawing
Diamond Wire Sawing is a technique that originated in quarries to extract stone.
It is ideal for removing large sections of reinforced concrete and other hard materials in sections. such as piers, towers and bridge sections and for cutting where work space is restricted.
A multi – strand cable fitted with diamond beads is threaded through a series of pulleys and is pulled continuously through the concrete.
No concrete structure or cross section is too large to cut with a wire saws.
Fast cutting times and low noise output are a further advantage.

04.
Floor Sawing
A floor saw is a self propelled, walk behind machine with a shaft that drives a diamond cutting blade.
Floor sawing is the most commonly used diamond cutting method.
The floor saw, as its name suggests, is typically used to cut horizontal flat surfaces such as floors, bridge decks and slabs usually to facilitate the removal of pavement and structural sections. It is also used to cut expansion joints or to induce cracks.

Test Core Sampling
Upon the request of a client, we are commissioned to go to the delegated site where we carry out Diamond Core Drilling, to extract a cylindrical concrete core sample. We then send the sample to a UKAS Accredited concrete testing laboratory where it is then crushed and samples from this are extracted. An analysis is taken to give an indication of the substance used.
All testing is carried out to British & European Standards and includes:
- Cement content
- Chemical analysis
- Chemical analysis for sulphate
- Density & strength
